Question by Sean S: will kettle bells help build up my power and strength?

Best answer:

Answer by blasphemer
I know the Chicago fire department swears by them for training. Heavy and small, sounds like any handling would build power.

Question by Tahini Classic: Is the kettle bell what was used before someone invented whistles?
Not sure how it worked – maybe a subordinate would ring the kettle bell once the water was boiling, to alert someone qualified to shift the kettle and pour the water?

I doubt it, because the wistle is used long time ago, and if it works with steam, everybody could hear it..

Question by ?c?rly,: What is the proper way to use an elliptical machine?
I am fourteen next week. I use my elliptical machine about 15-30 minutes about every other day. I just started this routine (before, I used it like once every two weeks) this week and my right knee bothers me when I kneel down, squat or get on my knees. I heard this is because I am not using the machine properly (my foot doesn’t move, but my heel goes up when my leg slides back.) Sooo, do you use it properly?

And my machine isn’t big. It’s actually pretty narrow and small.

I do the exact same thing and I’ve never had any problems with my body. I have pains from the treadmill though, but I do the same thing, I don’t think it’s bad.
