Question by iPodtouch21: How to get ripped and buff with just resistance bands? I am going on vacation for a month or so and will not be able to bring any dumbbells or other free weights with me. I am only going to be able to bring resistance bands. I have a variety of them with varieties of weights. The place i am going will also have a treadmill. What stuff can i do to get ripped and buff in that time? P.S. I am 5’11″ and about 140 lbs and 16 years old. Thanks:) I dont wanna lose weight:)

Question by Red Steph : Are Resistance bands more effective than free weights to tone? I want to tone my arms, thights, and booty. What is the difference between resistance bands and free weights? So do the bands just tone or do they actually build muscule and strength.

Answer by georgemushu not much except one is metal one is rubber,they both give resistance to your muscles when you do exercises with them.It will all depend on how much resistance is being supplied,for instance the band might give resistance that is equal to 10 pounds of free weights.I find it much easier to work with free weights and you would be surprised what you can do with a pair of dumbells.
