When I opened the box initially I wondered if I’d be able to tell the different resistance levels in these bands as they are all different colors.
After looking at them briefly and checking out the size of the tube and thickness I have to say this:
You’d have to be pretty thick-headed to not be able to tell which bands are easy and which bands are hard.
Yellow is the lightest
Then Green
Then Blue
Then Black
Red is the hardest
The fact that people take a star away because they’re not labeled is sad. How many people would keep this piece of paper if it came in the box, for future reference? Anyone? Really?
It’s in the description anyways, so people complaining about that is not necessary. Use your head.
The only thing that would be more helpful is how to use the door anchor it comes with.

I like the idea of resistance bands. They are light, travel well, and provide a different dynamic of resistance throughout the range of motion of an exercise than free weights. Normally with free weights the exercise starts off difficult but gets easier as the momentum of the weight itself carries you through the exercise. Resistance bands only get harder as you get full range of motion in an exercise. That’s why it would be ideal to incorporate both in your exercise program. But the problem for any relatively strong person is that most resistance bands on the market do not provide enough resistance and will just break if you over-strain them. These, like several others I tried, were no exception. I mean, five bands, and the hardest only provides roughly 30lbs. of resistance? These are great if that is all you think you will need, and they will serve you well as these were better than the other “mainstream” bands I tried. For those who feel this is not enough (e.g. the reviewers I saw who broke theirs!), I would recommend fitness bands by Iron Woody or Jump Stretch. I have the Iron Woody Mini (35lbs), Super-Mini (50lbs) and Light (80lbs) resistance bands. They go up much higher than that! They are circular 40-inch bands and have no handles. Thus, you may need some weight lifting gloves to avoid callouses. However, this also provides you with the opportunity to do a wider variety of exercises, which you can see demonstrated in various youtube videos or in Ross Enamait’s manual Never Gymless. They can even be used to assist you in chin-ups! I use these with P90X and they are killer!
I know this review sort of turned into an ad for other products, but I imagine there are many people out there who want to try resistance bands for their various benefits over free-weights but never found the ones that gave them enough resistance.

The red band I got ripped after just 2 weeks and now I am no longer able to use it. Thats the strongest band out of the set and the one I use the most. Makes it tough to workout properly when the band you use is not useable.

bought from BMP and delivered in 6 days. Excellent quality and very resistant. If a band is not strong enough, I can combine it with another one and increase the strength. Also the attachment for doors is really good for working the back, shoulders and arms, an alternative to a chin up bar, though only for beginners.

I would have given these 5 stars but I couldn’t bring myself to do it. The only reason being you dont know the resistance level by looking at them nor the equivalence in poundage. That really bothers me had it just been labeled ‘light’ or ‘heavy’ would have been something. I know you get what you pay for but no labels? A paper in the package would have worked… I can label them myself!
