I am trying to stay fit and I find it so much easier having a treadmill or elliptical home vs running around the block. To me it is so much easier, and I dont have to worry what im wearing or being embarrassed sweating alot. I dont have to sweat running in 100 degree weather. So I convinced my mom to get me a treadmill but her price range is $ 400 max.. Ive found tons of great deals on treadmills and now im wondering

Which is better, a treadmill or an elliptical. What is the difference?

Personally I like ellipticals much better than treadmills. The amount of weight you lose will always be a product of how hard you try and how often you use it….one isn’t really ‘better’ than the other.

i can squat 300lbs, if on grass could I do a few laps around a track(walking not running) and get a work out like that?

Rather than a bar bell, it would be easier to carry dumb bells, or better yet wear a weighted vest, or perhaps a very sturdy backpack with some weights inside.

I have just started a diet, and I have traded in all junkfood for fruits & vegetables. I am planning on doing 30 mins elliptical machine 6 days a week. Is that considered cardio, which will help me to lose weight?

It will definitely help you lose weight as long as you’re watching what you eat. When I bought my elliptical machine, I was told that it helps you lose dress sizes. I went from a size10 to a 6 in about 5 months. It will help, just stick to it. Good luck!!!

I’m 32, about 90 lbs overweight. I know weight training burns fat more quickly than walking or jogging. I’ve always been an arms wimp and feel like I’m wasting the big muscle dudes weights-hog time if I go on the bench press. Help me?

Seriously you are underweight and its a health risk. Eat more
and buy small weights i guess start off with 3 or 5 pounds
do small sets of 10 or 20 bicep curls
and work your way up to harder sets

I have a question about weightlifting. Example: I have a bar bell, and I put one 10lb plate on one end, and other 10lb plate on the other end. Does this equal 10lbs, or 20lbs? I do. I have a ball and i have several dvds with instrutions and workouts on them. I love ten minute solutions dvds. They have a vast variety of dvds from dance mixes to pilates and even a few that have workouts to use with the excercise balls. They’re great because you can just do one ten minute session if your short on time, or you can do all 5 for a longer workout. It’s crazy because when you Just watch it it looks so easy, but when you actually do what looks like simple moves it gets your heart rate up and you can feel the burn—Hope you love em as much as I do. You do have to buy them but they’re pretty inexpensive. I got some for around 5 dollars on amazon.com
